Adjustable Short Torque Arm (Versions differ in appearance)

Adjustable short torque arm for use with true duals with an X-Pipe. Now you
don't have to choose between the performance of true duals or a stronger
torque arm! Take them both with the all new design that follows the contours of the
body and allows true duals to be run without setting them so low they will get
ripped off on the first trip over a speed bump.
The torque arm is one of the most vital components in the suspension setup on
the F-body vehicles. As such an equally strong part should placed in this
important position. The stock stamped steel torque arms tend to flex and cause a
great deal of power loss to the vehicle.
These adjustable tubular torque arms are made from 1.00" X .156" wall
DOM tubing for optimal
strength. All torque arms are adjustable and utilize oversized 3/4" rod ends
made by QA1. These are high quality rod ends with a self-lubricating
Teflon-lined race for durability. These short versions all mount at the tunnel brace
location near the center of the vehicle. Torque arms also feature a heavy duty
3/8" rear axle mounting bracket for optimum so that stress fractures and metal
fatigue do not occur.
There are three versions of this type of torque arm available to accommodate
a variety of vehicle setups. Please give careful consideration as to which arm
is right for you baseed on your current and future modifications to your
vehicle. The first model will only clear the stock exhaust or most aftermarket
exhausts with mid-length or stock exhaust manifolds. The second model will clear
most exhaust setups with full-length headers installed. The third version is
designed to work with true dual exhaust setups with an X-Pipe. For more

There will be a noticeable difference in how the car puts its power to the
ground. With the shorter acting arm the rear axle is not given as much range of
motion and is therefore forced to put the power somewhere, which is to the
ground.
The short torque arm also has the added benefit of removing the stress from
the tail housing of the transmission. In high horsepower or more thoroughly used
vehicles the tail housing can break or crack due to the added stress. The short
arm removes this from the transmission.
